Dona Cures es un proyecto artístico basado en los cuidados y la regeneración, que nace del diálogo entre el arte, la naturaleza y los procesos lentos y conscientes.
La obra se desarrolla a partir de un material ancestral: la seda, trabajada desde una mirada ética y respetuosa. Utilizamos seda de la paz, una seda en la que los animales no son sacrificados para obtener su tesoro. Los gusanos de seda son alimentados con productos ecológicos y acompañados con cuidado hasta completar su metamorfosis, honrando así sus ciclos vitales.
El proyecto explora los beneficios sensoriales y regenerativos de la seda en contacto con la piel, entendida no solo como materia, sino como territorio de memoria, sensibilidad y cuidado. A través del arte, se invita a una experiencia que conecta cuerpo y naturaleza, recordándonos la importancia de regenerar no solo la piel, sino también nuestra relación con el entorno.

Dona Cures an artistic project rooted in care and regeneration, born from a dialogue between art, nature, and slow, conscious processes.
The work is developed using an ancestral material: silk, approached from an ethical and respectful perspective. We work with peace silk, a type of silk in which the animals are not killed to obtain their precious thread. The silkworms are fed with organic food and lovingly cared for throughout their metamorphosis, honoring their natural life cycles.
The project explores the sensory and regenerative qualities of silk in contact with the skin, understood not only as matter, but as a space of memory, sensitivity, and care. Through art, it offers an experience that reconnects the body with nature, reminding us of the importance of regenerating not only the skin, but also our relationship with the living world.
A proposal that weaves together ethics, art, and nature, inviting us to touch the world again with respect and awareness.

¿Qué es el ecoprinting en la Dirty Pot?
La estampación natural o ecoprinting es el arte de crear diseños directamente a partir de las plantas. Es un proceso en el que los pigmentos presentes en hojas, flores y cortezas se transfieren de forma permanente al tejido, sin utilizar tintes industriales, pinturas ni colorantes externos.
El ecoprinting en la Dirty Pot es una técnica especial que se diferencia de otros métodos porque no utiliza mordientes químicos para fijar el color en las telas. En lugar de ello, se basa en un proceso alquímico y natural, donde los elementos dialogan entre sí.
La Dirty Pot es una olla de aluminio en la que se combinan agua, vinagre, metales oxidados y materiales vegetales como hojas y cortezas de eucalipto o pieles de cebolla. Esta mezcla crea una reacción natural que permite que los pigmentos se fijen en las fibras textiles de manera profunda y duradera.
Es una alquimia lenta, viva e irrepetible, donde cada pieza es única y el resultado nunca se puede controlar por completo.

What is ecoprinting in the Dirty Pot?
Natural printing, or ecoprinting, is the art of creating patterns directly from plants. It is a process in which pigments found in leaves, flowers, and bark are permanently transferred onto fabric, without the use of industrial dyes, paints, or external colorants.
Dirty Pot ecoprinting is a distinctive technique because it does not rely on chemical mordants to fix the color onto the textiles. Instead, it is based on a natural, alchemical process, where materials interact and transform one another.
The Dirty Pot is an aluminum pot in which water, vinegar, rusty metal, and plant materials such as eucalyptus leaves, bark, or onion skins are combined. Together, these elements create a natural chemical reaction that allows pigments to deeply penetrate and bond with the textile fibers.
This is a slow, living form of alchemy—unpredictable and impossible to fully control—making each piece truly unique.

Cuidados de las prendas

El proceso de lavado consiste en tratar la tela de igual manera que la seda o lana, aconsejándose el lavado a mano con agua fría para un mayor cuidado de la tela, aunque también se pueda lavar en lavadora con colores similares a temperatura baja. Utilizar jabones de PH suave, nunca usar lejía, y lo más importante, secar y almacenar a la sombra. Así se conseguirán colores vivos y brillantes para mucho tiempo.
